Odyssey
We will be running an in character Persian restaurant and takeaway, serving a wide variety of recipes from Morocco, Turkey, Greece, and the Middle East.
Last year's menu is below, to give you some idea of our type of food. A new one should be up soon, and we are particularly looking at expanding the breakfast range, as well as adding more Roman and Greek foods.
Menu
Breakfast pot - £2.50
Fill a pot with your selection of:
- porridge
- fresh fruit
- yoghurt
- honey
- homemade preserves
- oats etc.
Available until 11.30am
Salad selection £3
Salads to include things like:
- Roast beetrot, rocket and chard salad with soy and sesame dressing
- Caterporium Tabouleh (bulghar wheat salad with lemon juice, spring onions and sumac)
- Fennel and feta cheese with pomegranate seeds
- Roast vegetables with tahini and oregano
- Chargrilled broccoli with chilli and garlic
- Red rice and quinoa with orange and pistachio nuts
Salad with sliced roast meat (e.g. pork or lamb joint), a pastry, or pizza - £4.50
Pastry or pizza slice - £2
Pastries:
- Spiced lentil and vegetable
- Minced lamb and pine nuts
Flatbread pizzas (made with homemade labneh cheese)
- Spinach and pine nut
- Minced lamb and pine nut
Main meals with rice/cous-cous - £4
We will have on various specials, but have planned:
- Lamb meatballs and chickpeas with yoghurt and honey sauce
- Persian chicken with walnuts and sour cherries
- Butternut squash and chickpea pisto
These will be available throughout the day.

These will be available seated in the restaurant from 6-10, and also from this time to take away, cooked to order.
Starters:

choice of flavourings: Lemon and cinnamon, garlic yoghurt, sumac and fresh coriander
Mains:
Baked lamb meatballs in wine sauce with a melted cheese topping, served with flatbreads and salad selection - £6.50
Pan-fried pork with almonds and fennel, served on seasonal potatoes and veg - £7
Butterflied chicken breast with za'tar seasoning, on a bed of cous-cous and roasted vegetables - £8
Lemon-fried chickpeas with summer vegetables and tofu, with rice pilaf (v) - £6.50
Aubergine, red pepper and field mushroom stack with fried halloumi cheese (v)
Tuna steak with pistachio crust and smoked chilli salsa - £8.50
Tagines:
We will have tagines for 2 or more people, varities to be written on our specials board. These will come in a proper Morrocan tagine, with your choice of rice or cous cous, selection of salads, and also flatbread.
